Weronika Helena Wozniak

Weronika Helena Wozniak /veronika helena vozniak/ is an actor and mover from Poland based in NYC.

She started dancing at the age of 5 at Rytmix Studio and danced professionally until her teenage years with established dance groups in Poland, achieving awards like 8th place in IDO Hip-Hop and Electric Boogie World Championship in Kalisz, Poland. She moved to NYC to study and pursue a career in acting. She graduated Conservatory at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and soon after graduation worked Off-Broadway on immersive stage-combat show The Video Games, where she met Zelda Gay, a sensei at Ken Wa Kan Dojo in Manhattan.

She joined the dojo in 2017 and is currently green belt in Kyokushin full-contact (with Oyama Kata) style. Around that year, she also found The How theatre company – where she found new ways of expressing incorporating her distinct life-long journey with movement, and now also acting.

She has taken classes at Alvin Ailey Extension, Steps On Broadway, Joffrey Ballet School, and Broadway Dance Center. With her eclectic experience taken from dance studios and martial arts, she wants to create an inclusive creative environment for those who want to cleanse their minds without meditation, move beautifully without a difficult dance class and get fit without the gym.
